What this manual is for
This guide is written so that anyone can follow it step by step—from
signing up to posting and expressing interest—even if you are not used
to computers or smartphones.
You can switch the screen language between Japanese and
English (use Language at the top of
the page).
Important information
- This site is a free mutual-aid space for village
residents. There is no fee to use the site and
no matching commission.
- The operators are not a party to any private
arrangement and do not handle money between
people.
- Member features (listings and contacts) are for approved
residents who live in the village.
- Rides / carpool are a separate site
with separate accounts.

Part 1 — For all users
1. What you can do on this site

The basic flow (4 steps)
- Sign up → verify email → wait for staff approval
- Complete your profile (contact details, optional map pin)
- Browse listings or post a request / offer
- After interest, call or meet to agree the details
The site only provides the place. Agreements are between residents.
2. Opening the site (smartphone and computer)
From a computer
- Open an internet browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, or similar).
- In the address bar at the top, type this and press
Enter:

- If the welcome page appears, you are done.
From a smartphone
- Use your camera or a QR code
reader app to scan the QR code distributed in the
village.
(There is also a QR code on the welcome page to open the site.)
- Tap the link that appears and open it in your browser.
- If you use the site often, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap
Add to home screen — it is directly below the
User manual link in the footer.
- Android (Chrome) — follow the Install
app prompt when it appears.
- iPhone (Safari) — follow the short instructions
shown after you tap: Share, then Add to Home
Screen.

- An icon is added to your home screen; you can open the site with one
tap, without the browser address bar (like an app).
The icon label follows your Language choice (Japanese / English) at the top of the page.
If you already added the shortcut and want the new label, remove the old icon first, then tap Add to home screen again.
3. About email (please read this)
Messages about sign-up and passwords are sent to the email address you registered.
Please check your spam or junk folder
Emails like the ones below often go to a folder called “Spam,” “Junk,” “Promotions,” or similar—not your normal inbox.
- Email to confirm your registration
- Email to confirm a change of email address
- Email with a one-time login link
- Email to set a new password
If you think an email has not arrived, open your spam or junk
folder first.
If you find the message there, mark it as “not spam” so future messages
are more likely to reach your inbox.
The site also shows a short reminder to check spam after messages are sent.
4. First-time users: from sign-up to getting started
Step 1 — New registration
- Tap Register.
- Enter name, email, password, and related fields.
- Password must be at least 12 characters with upper
case, lower case, a digit, and a symbol.

- After submit, you see Check your email.
Step 2 — Verify your email
- Open the link in the email.
- Also check your spam folder.
- You may then see a waiting for staff approval screen.
Step 3 — Staff approval
- Until staff confirm you are a village resident, you
cannot browse member listings or post.
- Public service descriptions are still readable.
Step 4 — Start using the site
After approval, log in and use member home to browse and post.
5. Logging in
- Open Log in.
- Enter your email and
password.
- If your account is not fully active yet, you are taken to the status / pending screen.
6. If you forget your password
From the login page
- Tap Forgot password?
- Enter your registered email and Send link.
- Open the one-time login link (valid for 1 hour,
single use).
- After login, set a new password (current password
is not required in this case).
- Check spam if the mail does not appear.
Already logged in but you do not know the current password
- Open Profile.
- Under password, tap Send a link to set a new
password.
- Use the email link to choose a new password.
7. How the screen is laid out (menus)

There is also a bottom navigation bar on small screens.
8. Setting up your profile
- Open Profile.
- Edit name, phone, address / house.
- Changing email sends a verification link to the new
address; login email stays the same until you confirm.
- Hide my email from other residents (default on)
hides email even after interest; phone may still be shared.
- Optional village map pin for approximate
location.
- Tap Save.
Contacts are not a public directory. They become visible between people after interest is expressed.
9. Types of services

We avoid “job offer / hire worker” language. This is neighbour-to-neighbour help and exchange.
10. Browsing and creating listings
Browse
- From member home or Services, choose a type.
- Open a listing title.
- Read details and the interest button.
Create
- Open Post.
- Choose service, seek/offer, title, body.
- Choose money mode (free / expenses only / …).
- Optional map pin.
- Submit.
Japanese is primary; English fields may be optional depending on the form.
11. Expressing interest and contacting someone
- Open a listing you care about.
- Send Interest (optional message).
- Contact details (e.g. phone) may appear between the two of
you.
- Agree details by phone or in person—outside the site’s automatic
matching.
- Authors can close a listing when done.
Operators are not a party to the arrangement. For serious issues, contact village office / staff.
12. Rides (carpool) link
For volunteer rides, use the FDV Carpool link in the
footer or on the welcome page.
Accounts are not shared. You must register on the
carpool site separately.

Part 2 — For staff
A. Staff roles

Ordinary residents only manage their own listings and interests.
B. Handling residents waiting for approval
- Open the Staff (admin) screen.
- Review the pending list.
- Approve confirmed village residents, or
reject if not appropriate.
- After approval, the person can browse and post listings.
